You Probably wouldn’t consider me to be not-the norm, amongst this community. However, this was not an uncommon phrase for me to hear, nor was it unusual,for me, to be called”Very different”. While this isn’t an unpleasant way to be described by others throughout life, as an adult, when still young and growing,it certainly did mold my perceived notion of what “normal people” looked like,and moreover, acted like, or how these people treated others, etc.. Needless to say, I began to feel it a compliment. I have often wondered at the cruelty of others, and had my share of heartbreaks due to failure to look for the bad intentions of those around me, since I don’t track with that, but I’m getting better. Formerly,a much reported, irreputed reprobate, I’m now reformed, and forty-something. My life, my child, is a teen,is amazing, and only slightly surly and smartass some of the time (when compared to those teens who are surly smartasses all of the time.). & He is also really really great, always has been. I’m blessed with loved ones here, and loved ones that have moved on to the other side. -The written word, and caring for others are both of my biggest passions. I’m new to the site, am in love with the platform, and enjoying those with more exercised talent than myself, and will be soaking up as much as I possibly can with two jobs, and using the time to practice just writing and the craft itself.
